■DESCRIPTION

The ref. is 4006-7010 (YDJ020).

The movement is cal. 4006 = 27 jewels, with a 3-hand automatic winding + day-date calendar + manual winding alarm.

It is currently operating without any significant errors.

The maintenance history is unknown.

From the serial number, it is estimated to have been manufactured in October 1977 (Showa 52).

At the time, it was a model that competed with the Citizen 4H as a domestically produced alarm wristwatch.

The Citizen mechanism was to strike a protrusion on the back cover with a hammer, the same mechanism as the Vulcan (Revue Thommen) Cricket, so the cricket-like tone of both was similar.

On the other hand, the Seiko strikes a bell (a gong made by rolling an iron bar into a C-shape), so the tone is closer to a "travel clock" or "alarm clock."

Seikos cal. 4006 has a similar mechanism to Jaeger-LeCoultre, but the LeCoultre produces a chime-like sound.

The belt and buckle are aftermarket products, made by Ritmo Latino and made of genuine crocodile (caiman) leather in black with silver glitter.
